Weather Watch for gusty winds and low relative humidity, which is
in effect from Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...Much of central and southeast Virginia.
* TIMING...Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.
* WINDS...West 15 to 20 mph with gusts between 25 and 30 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Around 25 percent.
* TEMPERATURES...In the 60s.
* IMPACTS...Dry and breezy conditions will support adverse fire
behavior allowing fires to spread rapidly.

are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.

The combination of low relative humidity values between 20 and 30
percent, winds gusting up to 25 mph and dry fuels will increase
the potential for the spread of wildfires on Tuesday.
Residents are urged to exercise caution handling any potential
ignition source...including machinery... cigarettes...and matches.
Be sure to properly discard all smoking materials. Any dry grasses
and tree litter that ignite will have the potential to spread
quickly.
Virginia residents are reminded that open-air burning is
prohibited before 4 pm each day through April 30th.
